Over a six-month engagement, NUOPTIMA used a combined Organic + AI Search strategy to improve GrowTal’s visibility where buyers now make decisions: traditional Google results and AI-generated recommendations. The work wasn’t “content for content’s sake”. It focused on high-intent discovery (SEO + AI answers), supported by authority signals, and measured with repeatable reporting.
Results after six months included:
- Number one most-cited domain in the tracked AI prompt set (GrowTal: 102 domain citations), ahead of Reddit (101), MarketerHire (99), Upwork (85), and Toptal (82).
- Top-3 brand presence in the same competitive set (GrowTal: 53 mentions; 29% share of voice).
- Organic traffic trends up strongly from June to mid-December, rising from roughly the low-200s/day range to the high-800s/day range (with spikes around late Oct and mid-Nov).
- Authority gains in Ahrefs: DR 52 (+2), UR 9 (+2), and improved Ahrefs Rank (AR 525,547, up 88,470 positions).

About the client
GrowTal is a remote talent marketplace that connects companies with pre-vetted marketing experts, matched through a short discovery process and flexible engagements. Clients can scale support up or down based on changing needs and budgets, which makes the platform a fit for teams that need flexible expertise rather than long hiring cycles.
Baseline state (what needed fixing)
GrowTal sits in a highly competitive landscape with adjacent alternatives (marketplaces, agencies, staffing, directories). The challenge was not simply “publish more content” — it was to create a system that:
- Wins high-intent search discovery for the terms buyers use when they’re actively looking for marketing support.
- Builds AI Search visibility so GrowTal appears inside recommendation-style answers, not just traditional SERPs.
- Improves authority signals (links, trust, brand footprint) so visibility compounds over time.
What we did

We built the engagement around six workstreams designed to reinforce each other: technical foundations, topical coverage, AI-intent content, authority, and measurement.
1) Positioning for LLMs & AI Search
AI Search is compressing decision journeys: instead of scanning ten results, prospects often ask an AI tool to recommend “the best option” and then click 1–2 sources. So we treated AI visibility as a measurable channel, not a buzzword. The goal: increase the frequency that GrowTal is mentioned and cited for prompts aligned with hiring marketing talent (and adjacent high-intent queries where GrowTal should be in the shortlist).
2) Full-funnel AI awareness
The point of AI visibility isn’t being “name-dropped.” It’s being present at the exact moment the buyer asks questions like:
- “Which platform should I use to hire a growth marketer?”
- “What’s the best alternative to [X]?”
- “Where can I find vetted marketing experts quickly?”
This work focused on building the kind of footprint AI tools are comfortable recommending:
- Clear, decision-support content (how it works, use cases, what to expect, how to choose).
- Pages structured so they’re easy to cite (clear headings, concise claims, supportive proof).
- Reinforced credibility across the wider web.
3) Technical & authority foundation
We strengthened technical hygiene and on-site clarity so growth is compounding, not fragile. This supports both classic SEO performance and AI citation likelihood.
4) Brand mentions & link building
We supported the authority layer through consistent link acquisition and brand reinforcement, improving “trust signals” that influence rankings and perceived credibility.
5) Content strategy & topic clusters
We built topic coverage around how buyers research marketing help. In other words, when buyers compare hiring in-house, using an agency, or working with freelancers, the trade-off is usually speed, quality, and flexibility. GrowTal is a clear alternative: it connects you with vetted marketing specialists across growth, paid media, SEO, content, lifecycle, and more, so you can get senior-level execution without the overhead and long ramp of a full-time hire or the one-size-fits-all approach that often comes with agencies.
6) AI-intent focused listicles
Listicles match how prompts are phrased (“best X”, “top Y”, “recommended Z”), so we used AI-assisted listicles (human edited) as part of the mix to increase coverage for discovery-style queries.

Performance & Results

AI Search performance
Across tracked prompts, GrowTal appeared as a cited domain in AI responses and was benchmarked alongside well-known competitors. In the Brand Ranking screenshot, GrowTal is listed alongside platforms like Toptal and MarketerHire, indicating real competitive presence in AI-generated results rather than “invisible” coverage.

Then the Domain Citations view shows growtal.com ranked #1 In that tracked set. In other words, GrowTal wasn’t just present, it was being referenced directly as a source. Why this matters is because domain citations reflect how often GrowTal is referenced directly in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT-style answers and Google AI Overviews). These citation counts are based only on the prompts added to the brand report, keeping measurement consistent and focused on the queries that match buyer intent.
Organic search visibility


The screenshots tell a clean story: organic traffic climbs steadily from early summer through December, with clear acceleration after late summer and several noticeable spikes in Q4. In parallel, organic positions show a broader footprint in stronger ranking buckets by late November/December, with more keywords appearing in the selected top ranges—signalling improved visibility as performance builds into year-end.
Authority growth (backlink profile)

The backlink snapshot points to steady authority growth: Domain Rating increased to 52 (+2) and URL Rating rose to 9 (+2), showing stronger overall domain trust and improving page-level strength. We also see a meaningful uplift in Ahrefs Rank (AR)—up by ~88k to 525,547—which supports the wider visibility gains we’re seeing in organic performance and signals continued momentum in the site’s link profile.
