TLDR
- Who: Batch, a consumer brand selling via B2C and B2B channels, recovering from a Google algorithm hit.
- What changed: NUOPTIMA rebuilt their content strategy around targeted keyword coverage and acquired authoritative backlinks to restore and expand organic authority.
- The number: Sales up 187% year-over-year (January to May 2025 vs. January to May 2024), with monthly traffic growing from roughly 4,500 to 17,000 visitors across the engagement.
The challenge
When Batch came to NUOPTIMA in April 2024, their site had taken a hit from a recent Google algorithm update. Traffic had slipped and rankings with it. They needed to recover lost ground while also pushing two growth levers at once: more qualified B2B leads and better B2C conversion rates from organic visitors.
The combination made this harder than a standard recovery. Content and authority work had to serve two distinct buyer journeys from the same domain.
What we did
Our work over the April 2024 to April 2025 engagement focused on two parallel tracks.
Targeted content development:
- We identified the specific search terms Batch's potential customers were using and built pages and articles around those queries rather than producing generic content.
- Each piece was structured to match real user intent, giving search engines clear signals about relevance and helping Batch rank for the queries that bring buyers, not browsers.
- This is the foundation of our SEO approach: traffic quality over traffic volume.
Authoritative link acquisition:
- We built a targeted link-building program focused on acquiring links from credible, topically relevant sites rather than chasing raw link counts.
- Each link was chosen to reinforce trust with search engines in Batch's specific category, accelerating domain authority recovery after the algorithm update.

Results
All figures cover the April 2024 to April 2025 engagement period unless stated otherwise.
- Sales up 187%: Comparing January to May 2025 with January to May 2024, total conversions and sales were 187% higher.
- Traffic up 277%: Average monthly visitors grew from roughly 4,500 at the start of the engagement to around 17,000 by the end.

- Top-3 keyword positions up 73%: More of Batch's target queries now rank in positions 1 to 3, capturing the highest-click-rate slots in search results.
- Domain Rating 37 to 58: A 21-point gain in domain authority, reflecting the improved backlink profile and content signals built during the year.
- Referring domains up 68%: The number of unique domains linking to Batch's site grew by 68%, strengthening long-term authority.
Key takeaways
- Algorithm recovery requires fixing both content relevance and domain authority at the same time. Addressing only one leaves the other as the binding constraint. A combined SEO program covering both tracks is what moved the needle here.
- Link quality beats link quantity. The 68% increase in referring domains was built selectively, targeting authoritative and topically relevant sources. That selectivity is what drove the Domain Rating from 37 to 58 and held the gains. See how our link-building service applies this approach.
- Organic growth compounds into sales. The 277% traffic increase translated into a 187% sales lift because the traffic was matched to real buyer intent from the start. Volume without relevance would not have produced the same result.
