What this notice covers
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on nuoptima.com. "Similar technologies" matters here, because the rules that apply in the UK cover more than cookies. They cover anything that stores information on your device or reads information already stored there. That includes tracking pixels, tags, scripts, software development kits and browser storage such as local storage and session storage. Everywhere this notice says "cookies", read it as covering all of those. The site is operated by NUOPTIMA Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14407366, registered office 1 Beauchamp Court, 10 Victors Way, Barnet, Hertfordshire, England, EN5 5TZ. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to save. When you come back, the browser hands it over again, so the site can recognise the session, remember a setting, or count the visit. Some cookies are set by us and some are set by other companies whose services run on our pages. Local storage works in a similar way but keeps the data in the browser until it is cleared.
The categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Needed to deliver the site securely and reliably, including protection against attacks and abuse. These do not need your consent because the site cannot work without them.
- Functional. Support features you actively use, such as the chat widget and the booking calendar.
- Analytics. Tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and where things break.
- Advertising. Measure the results of our campaigns and let us show ads to people who have already visited.
Everything outside the strictly necessary category is set only where you have given consent. That includes functional and analytics cookies, not just advertising ones. Refusing them has no effect on your ability to read the site or contact us.
What actually runs on this site
The table below lists every provider we load. Apart from Cloudflare, all of them are loaded through our Google Tag Manager container (GTM-MK3WWKP) rather than being written into the page code. Where a provider sets its own cookies under names it controls and changes from time to time, we say so rather than publishing a list that would go stale.

Durations we measured on this site on 1 August 2026: _ga and _ga_KPM79C7M8J last about 400 days, _gcl_au and _fbp about 90 days, and userID and firstPage about one day. The providers set these durations and can change them, and the cookies set directly by LinkedIn, Microsoft, Ahrefs and Cloudflare are governed by those providers. Treat the figures above as current rather than fixed.
Microsoft Clarity
Clarity deserves a separate mention because it does more than count visits. It records how people move through and interact with our pages: scrolling, mouse movement, clicks and taps, and the order in which pages are viewed. Those recordings are played back without name or contact details attached and combined into heatmaps. We use them to find pages that confuse people, buttons that do not get seen, and layouts that fail on smaller screens. We configure Clarity to mask input fields, so text you type into forms is not captured in the recording. Clarity only runs where you have consented to analytics cookies, and Microsoft processes the data under its own terms as well as ours.
Giving, refusing and changing your consent
Non-essential cookies are set only where you have consented. You make that choice on your first visit, before anything other than the strictly necessary cookies loads. Refusing is as easy as accepting: there is a single action to reject non-essential cookies, and it takes no more steps than accepting them. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie Settings link, and withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not undo processing that already happened. If you refuse or withdraw consent, the site still works. You can read every page, use the contact form and reach us by email.
Browser controls
Your browser can block cookies, delete them, or clear them automatically when you close it. Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode that discards them at the end of the session. These controls sit with you and work independently of our consent tool, so a browser-level block applies whatever you told our banner. Blocking all cookies can break parts of some websites, including features on ours such as the chat widget. The settings live in your browser's own preferences under privacy or site data.
Third-party cookies
Several of the cookies described above are set by the providers in the table, not by us. Those companies act as independent controllers for their own purposes, which can include measuring their advertising networks and improving their own products. We do not control what they do with data collected in that capacity, and we cannot delete it on your behalf. If you want to know how a particular provider handles your data, how long it keeps it, or how to object, check that company's own privacy and cookie policies and the account or ad settings it offers.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the technologies on the site change, so it stays an accurate description of what actually runs. Material changes to the categories or providers will be reflected here and, where consent is affected, in the consent tool itself.
