About Zelt
Zelt is a B2B startup in people management. Its HR software, Zelt.app, is a single interface where employers and employees handle tasks, documents, payments, feedback, and more in one place.
Like most early-stage companies, Zelt struggled to build brand awareness and keep its sales pipeline full in its first months. Search visibility was the fastest lever available. When Zelt reached out to NUOPTIMA, a B2B SaaS SEO agency, we built a plan focused on raising organic traffic through relevant, reputable backlinks rather than a broad content push.

What we did

Viktor Bartak
Head of SEO

Liza
Lead Editor
The goal was to raise site authority and brand awareness on a tight footprint. We committed to 10 editorial backlinks placed on highly reputable sites with a Domain Rating of no less than 60, targeting an average DR of 62.
Plenty of agencies argue that buying lots of low-quality links is the fastest way to rank. We disagree. Chasing volume damages a site's credibility, and Google discounts links from pages that lack relevance and accuracy. Quality was the priority for every link we wrote, which is the core of our link building approach.
10
Editorial Backlinks
Each of the 10 editorial backlinks used anchor text that was unique, tied to the target landing page, and kept inside Zelt's HR niche. Every link sat on a reliable site, and the average Domain Rating across placements came in at 62, part of a wider SEO plan built to rank for high-intent B2B keywords.
We wrote and published the backlinks in June, then stopped the following month to give Google time to crawl and index the new keywords. Growth came quickly. Traffic rose more than 300%, and even after we paused publishing, Zelt picked up 500 additional organic keywords.
Below are two example backlinks we wrote for Zelt in the B2B niche.

Results
Zelt saw three-fold traffic growth from only 10 quality backlinks, all measured within about a month (June to July). The two pages the links pointed to gained the most traffic in the Google Search Console report below.

Those same pages also drove the most impressions.

Ranking positions improved across the target organic keywords, shown below.

Key takeaways
- Ten strong links beat a hundred weak ones. A small set of DR 60-plus placements moved Zelt's traffic more than 300%, which is the case for treating link building as a quality problem, not a volume one.
- Relevance carries the link. Anchors tied to the target page and kept inside the HR niche are what let those links pass authority, a core discipline of B2B SaaS SEO.
- Compounding keeps working after you stop. Zelt gained 500 more organic keywords even after we paused publishing, so early authority keeps paying out once Google finishes indexing.
