Best Managed IT Service Providers in Portland | 2026

Eight Portland, Oregon managed IT firms compared on help desk hours, published prices, response promises and fit, checked on November 7, 2026.

Portland's managed information technology (IT) firms list nearly identical services: help desk, security, backup, Microsoft 365. Where they differ is the clock and the bill. One help desk here picks up at 5am; another closes at 5pm and bills evening calls at after-hours rates. Published prices run from a $480 monthly plan with four hours of support to per-user plans of roughly $135 to $250. Picking the best managed IT services in Portland mostly means matching those two things to how your company works.

Spread-out teams make it harder: an office downtown, a crew that starts before sunrise, two staff in Vancouver, Washington. This guide compares eight managed service providers (MSPs) with offices in Portland, Lake Oswego and Clackamas on hours, pricing, response promises and the industries they serve.

Skip it if you only want someone to fix a laptop now and then, or sit outside the Portland metro. The order reflects fit for a typical owner-run office of a few dozen people.

How this list was built

Each firm passed four checks:

  1. A local office. A street address in Portland, Lake Oswego or Clackamas, published on the firm's own site.
  2. Recurring support. A monthly managed services offer with a help desk behind it, rather than project work alone.
  3. Facts from the source. Everything here was read on the provider's own site and its Google Business Profile. Clutch hourly rates and LinkedIn team counts or founding years appear only where a fact card says so.
  4. The right company. A working site that clearly belongs to the firm named.

We dropped directories, lead-generation pages, firms with "MSP" in their name, franchise locations we could not tie to a real local office, firms whose site does not say they serve the Portland area, and consultancies with no managed support offer. Reviewed on November 7, 2026.

Each entry opens with a fact card. Review summaries are our reading of each firm's most recent Google reviews (up to 40), pulled in November 2026. Pricing marked Clutch is the hourly band the firm reports on its Clutch profile. Team counts and founding years marked LinkedIn come from the firm's LinkedIn page. Fields we could not confirm are left off the card.

Portland managed IT providers side by side

Each row shows the firm's headquarters (HQ), nearest office or stated service area, its Google rating, its support coverage and one thing it is known for. Google ratings are from each firm's Google Business Profile, read in November 2026. Under Google, n/a means we found no rating we could match to the firm; under Support, it means we could not confirm its support hours.

digiWEST homepage, November 2026

digiWEST works out of the historic Pacific Building on SW 6th Avenue downtown, and its help desk answers from 5am Pacific time on weekdays. That early start suits the clients it talks about most: architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) companies, where it supports Autodesk workflows and geographic information system (GIS) environments.

The firm says it grew in Portland one client at a time, with no acquisitions or national roll-up behind it. Managed IT is a flat monthly rate, and project work is scoped and quoted separately up front. The homepage claims more than 20 years in business, a 99.9% uptime service level agreement (SLA) and 50+ certifications. Its service area stretches from Beaverton and Hillsboro to Gresham, Salem and Vancouver, Washington.

Best fit: AEC firms running Autodesk or GIS software whose people are at their desks or on site well before 8am.

Think twice if: you need a person on the help desk after 6pm or on weekends; outside weekday hours the firm lists 24/7 monitoring and emergency response.

SpireTech is one of three firms here that puts a starting price on its website: managed plans usually begin at $1,500 a month, or about $135 per user. It has been in business since February 1993, with headquarters on SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas and a second office at 1050 SW 6th Avenue downtown.

SpireTech guarantees a reply within four business hours at most and says 95% of help desk calls are answered within 30 seconds. Every employee is US-based, and no work is outsourced. Architecture and engineering offices get particular attention, since the team knows AutoCAD and Revit. The firm also sells Microsoft 365 management with Copilot enablement, plus artificial intelligence (AI) advisory work. Clients sign annual agreements, and law and accounting firms appear on its industry list.

Best fit: A company of a few dozen people that wants a price and a written response promise before the first meeting.

Think twice if: you want pay-as-you-go repairs; SpireTech says it does not offer break-fix and only takes on repairs and projects for monthly clients.

24x7 I.T. Solutions homepage, November 2026

24x7 I.T. Solutions promises a qualified technician working on your problem within seven minutes, and calls that a guarantee. The firm was founded in 2001 and is based on SE Oak Grove Boulevard. It says support runs around the clock, nights, weekends and holidays included.

Backups get a manual check at 7am every weekday and a real test restore each month, a detail worth asking every other provider about. The terms are light on commitment: no long-term contract, and your money back if you are unhappy within the first 60 days. Billing is a flat monthly fee, with per-user and per-device lines on the invoice. The firm says it has supported more than 700 businesses and keeps 95% of its clients each year.

Best fit: Offices that work evenings or weekends and want an exit in the first 60 days if the relationship does not work.

Think twice if: you plan to hold the firm to the seven-minute start; ask how it is measured and what happens when it is missed before it goes into a contract.

Internetworks homepage, November 2026

Everyone at Internetworks works from one place: the firm says its entire team is based at its office on NE 10th Avenue in Northeast Portland. It has been supporting Northwest businesses since 1997. Office hours run 7:30am to 6pm on weekdays, and the phone lines stay open 24/7/365.

Pricing comes through what the firm calls an Alliance membership, built around a predictable monthly cost. Staff hold credentials from Apple, Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Fortinet, Veeam and Dell, and the Apple certification matters if your office runs Macs next to Windows machines. Clients include professional services firms, nonprofits, finance, manufacturing and schools. Besides fully managed IT, Internetworks offers co-managed support for companies with their own IT person, plus Wi-Fi assessment and design.

Best fit: Nonprofits, schools and offices mixing Macs and Windows that want the people on the phone to be local.

Think twice if: you rely on after-hours fixes; ask which requests the 24/7 line covers under your plan.

KAMIND IT homepage, November 2026

If your company holds or bids on defense contracts, start with KAMIND IT. The Lake Oswego firm says it was the first Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Registered Provider in Oregon. It holds CMMC Level 2 certification itself and lists CMMC Registered Practitioners and other CMMC credential holders on its team. It also works on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-171 controls, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance and Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High.

Microsoft is the other half. KAMIND calls itself a Tier 1 Microsoft partner, keeps at least 12 people who meet Microsoft's standards, and says it "literally wrote the book on Office 365." Its support plan allows unlimited calls, with after-hours and weekend problems included at no extra charge. Clients without 24/7 coverage pay an hourly rate.

Best fit: Defense suppliers working toward CMMC, and companies that run most of their business in Microsoft 365 and Azure.

Think twice if: most of your staff sit in central Portland and expect frequent on-site visits; the only listed office is on Meadows Road in Lake Oswego, so ask how on-site work is scheduled.

What Google reviewers say: Friendly, helpful staff who fix problems quickly. Our summary of the 13 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 1 of them.

Phones and computers sit under one roof at Pavelcomm, a family-owned company that has provided IT and voice communications services since 1985. Its office is on NW 14th Avenue, and its services run from fully managed and co-managed IT to voice over internet protocol (VoIP) systems, unified communications, and structured and fiber cabling.

Calls during business hours reach a live person. After hours, a technician on call 24/7/365 responds within an hour, at after-hours rates. Pavelcomm mainly serves small and mid-sized businesses, naming healthcare practices, nonprofits and light industrial firms. For offices that hold patient records or take card payments, it offers HIPAA and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance services. Pricing depends on the size of the organization and the support it needs.

Best fit: Small and midsize offices, medical practices among them, that want one local team handling both the phone system and the computers.

Think twice if: you want after-hours calls included in the monthly fee; the support page says after-hours rates apply, so ask whether one of its all-inclusive plans covers them.

Cyber Lift homepage, November 2026

Cyber Lift writes its site for one kind of owner: someone running a shop, business or firm of 30 to 150 people with more than one location. Founded in 2008 and based on N Columbia Boulevard in North Portland, it is led by chief executive Daniel Cristurean.

The site gives an estimated price of $200 to $250 per user per month including Microsoft 365 licenses, with plans starting at 30 users and one location. That makes it easier to hold against a quote that bills licenses separately. Clients deal with the in-house team, and the firm says it does not outsource its managed services work. It names manufacturers, accountants, property managers and estate planning law firms. The help desk runs 8am to 6pm on weekdays, and anything short of an emergency gets a next-business-day response.

Best fit: Owner-run manufacturers, accounting practices and property managers with 30 to 150 staff across more than one site.

Think twice if: you need a 24/7 help desk; Cyber Lift says it does not run one and keeps after-hours support for real emergencies.

Pacific Computer Group homepage, November 2026

For small offices, Pacific Computer Group sells a four-hour monthly support plan: a flat $480 a month covers up to four hours of IT support, and extra hours cost $120 each with no contract. Jonathan Howitt founded the firm in 2005. It works from SE Morrison Street and specializes in companies with fewer than 25 employees.

Remote help starts immediately during business hours, and on-site visits in Portland typically happen the same day or the next business day. The service list covers help desk, device and network support, antivirus and managed Microsoft security updates, and both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, useful if your office never moved to Microsoft. The firm also lists HIPAA expertise. Its industry pages name computer numerical control (CNC) machining, apparel, medical practices and law firms.

Best fit: Offices under 25 people, such as a small law firm or medical practice, that want a fixed bill and no contract.

Think twice if: your team regularly needs more than four hours of help a month; time beyond the plan is billed at $120 an hour.

How to choose a managed IT provider in Portland

Start with pricing, since the models here do not line up. SpireTech prices at about $135 per user, Cyber Lift estimates $200 to $250 with Microsoft 365 licenses folded in, and Pacific Computer Group sells a flat plan capped at four hours. For the other five, ask for a written quote. Compare every quote on total monthly cost at your headcount, with licenses in or out, plus whatever gets billed as projects.

Next, match the help desk to your working day. digiWEST opens at 5am, Cyber Lift stays open until 6pm, and SpireTech and Pacific Computer Group keep an 8am to 5pm desk. "Around the clock" also means different things. 24x7 I.T. Solutions states support at all hours and KAMIND folds after-hours calls into its plan, while Pavelcomm charges after-hours rates for its on-call technician and Cyber Lift keeps evenings for emergencies.

Defense suppliers should ask for CMMC status in writing; KAMIND states Level 2. Medical practices should look for HIPAA experience, which KAMIND, Pavelcomm and Pacific Computer Group list.

Contract terms vary as much as prices. 24x7 I.T. Solutions advertises no long-term contracts and a 60-day money-back guarantee, while SpireTech asks for annual agreements. Before signing, ask about notice periods, exit fees, who controls your domain, firewall and Microsoft 365 admin accounts, and how documentation is returned.

Finally, check location. KAMIND works from Lake Oswego and SpireTech is headquartered in Clackamas with a downtown office; the rest list Portland addresses. If you have staff in Beaverton, Hillsboro or Vancouver, ask how on-site visits get scheduled and whether travel is billed.

Ask on the first call:

  • What would our monthly bill be at today's headcount, and what falls outside it?
  • Which response time goes into the signed SLA, how is it measured, and what credit do we get when it slips?
  • Who answers at 9pm on a Saturday, and what does that cost?

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much do managed IT services cost in Portland?

Three of the eight firms on this page post pricing on their sites. Pacific Computer Group charges a flat $480 a month for up to four hours of support, then $120 an hour. SpireTech plans usually start at $1,500 a month, or about $135 per user. Cyber Lift gives an estimate of $200 to $250 per user per month with Microsoft 365 licenses included. Ask the other five for written quotes, and compare every quote on total monthly cost at your headcount.

Do Portland managed IT providers offer 24/7 support?

Some do, but the arrangements differ. 24x7 I.T. Solutions states support around the clock, weekends and holidays included. KAMIND IT includes after-hours and weekend calls in its support plan. Internetworks keeps its phone lines open 24/7/365. Pavelcomm has an on-call technician after hours, billed at after-hours rates. Cyber Lift says it does not run a 24/7 help desk and keeps after-hours support for real emergencies.

Which Portland IT providers help with CMMC compliance?

KAMIND IT, based in Lake Oswego, says it was the first Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Registered Provider in Oregon. It is CMMC Level 2 certified, with CMMC Registered Practitioners and other CMMC credential holders on its team, and it works on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-171 controls and Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High. Ask any provider for its certification status in writing.

How do I switch managed IT providers without downtime?

Plan the handover before you give notice. Check your current contract for the notice period and any exit fee; SpireTech, for example, uses annual agreements. Get admin credentials, network documentation and license details in writing, and have the new provider confirm that backups restore before the old one steps away. A trial window helps too: 24x7 I.T. Solutions advertises no long-term contracts and a 60-day money-back guarantee.
