Managed information technology (IT) means one outside firm runs your computers, network, email, backups and security for a monthly fee. For a Tampa company of 20 to 300 people, that firm ends up with admin access to every system you run, so the choice deserves more than a quick quote comparison. This page compares eight candidates for the best managed IT services in Tampa. All eight are managed service providers (MSPs) with a Tampa address.
It is written for owners and operations leads who are not IT people and want to know who is credible, how they charge, what to ask and where a deal can go wrong. It is not for enterprises with their own IT department, for anyone shopping for one-off break-fix repairs, or for companies outside the Tampa Bay area.
Every firm was checked against its own website and its Google Business Profile. Each rating, founding year, office and response promise below comes from one of those two places, or from LinkedIn where a fact card says so. The numbers on the entries help you jump around the page. They do not rank the firms against each other.
After the entries comes a section on what to ask before you sign, built from the terms these eight firms state on their own sites.
How this list was built
A firm made the list only if it passed all four checks:
- Verified at the source. Facts come from the provider's own site and its Google Business Profile. Where a fact card uses Clutch (hourly rates) or LinkedIn (team counts, founding years), it says so.
- A Tampa presence. A Tampa-area office or a stated Tampa service area.
- An ongoing managed services offer. A monthly support relationship, with project work as an add-on at most.
- A live site that is clearly the company. The homepage loads and matches the business on its Google listing.
We dropped project-only and break-fix shops, firms with no Tampa-area office or service area, sites that would not load or belonged to a different business, and companies whose own site did not back up the basics. Where we could not confirm a detail, such as team size or support hours, we left it out.
Last reviewed: November 7, 2026.
Each entry opens with a fact card. Review summaries are our reading of each firm's most recent Google reviews (up to 40), pulled in November 2026. Pricing marked Clutch is the hourly band the firm reports on its Clutch profile, and team counts marked LinkedIn are people who list the firm as their employer there. Fields we could not confirm are left off the card.

Each row shows the firm's headquarters (HQ), nearest office or stated service area, its Google rating, its support coverage and one thing it is known for. Google ratings come from each firm's Google Maps listing in November 2026. Under Google, n/a means we found no rating we could match to the firm; under Support, it means we could not confirm its support hours.

What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and troubleshooting help limit interruptions to work. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 18 of them.

Data-Tech puts a clock on the fix itself. It says its Tampa help desk resolves issues in 30 to 45 minutes, backed by round-the-clock coverage. That is a resolution time rather than a pickup time, so ask how they measure it and what share of tickets lands inside it.
The firm has served Florida businesses since 1996 from a Tampa office on Hopi Place, with a second office in Brooksville. It says it has been through more than ten years of System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type II audits, useful when your own clients or auditors ask how your vendors handle data. Services include co-managed IT, backup and disaster recovery, cloud and managed compliance, including Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) work. Healthcare and manufacturing are its named industries. It also lists two awards: a Top 10 Most Promising Company of 2023 title and a Fast 50 recognition.
Best fit: Healthcare practices and manufacturers that want audit paperwork and a help desk with a measured fix time.
Think twice if: you work outside healthcare and manufacturing, its two named industries; ask how many clients in your field it supports today.

What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and fixes help keep business systems available. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 40 of them.

Size is the first filter here. CIO Technology Solutions says it supports organizations of 150 to 1,500 employees, which puts it at the upper end of the companies this page is written for. Co-founder and President Craig Walicek is part of a firm that has worked with Tampa Bay organizations since 2010. It runs from an office on North Westshore Boulevard and lists Clearwater and St. Petersburg as service areas.
The team is US-based, and the site says it does no overseas outsourcing. Calls are answered live, with 24/7 monitoring behind them and after-hours emergency response. The industry list is broad: healthcare, legal, manufacturing, financial services, hospitality and construction. On compliance, it claims experience with five frameworks, among them the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), CMMC 2.0 and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). It describes its pricing as transparent; ask for a sample agreement to see what that means.
Best fit: Companies of 150 to 1,500 employees with a regulator or a large customer asking about controls.
Think twice if: you have fewer than 150 employees, below the bottom of the range it states.
3. predictiveIT

What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and fixes help reviewers return to work. Our summary of the 36 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 36 of them.

Before it was predictiveIT, this firm was Westshore Technologies, founded more than 20 years ago. Today it works from the second floor of 600 North Willow Avenue and markets itself as a SOC 2 Type II audited managed IT provider. Its SOC 2 page carries an A-LIGN badge. If your own customers send you vendor security questionnaires, that audit is the reason to call, and the right first request is the latest report under a nondisclosure agreement.
The service list runs from managed cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery to cloud, Microsoft 365, IT consulting, and compliance and risk management. It also sells AI automation and consulting. On a first call, ask how the help desk is staffed, which hours it covers, and which response times they will put in writing.
Best fit: Firms whose clients ask for a vendor audit report before they sign.
Think twice if: you sign before seeing support hours and response commitments on paper; ask them for both up front.
4. ShowTech Solutions

What Google reviewers say: Responsive support and prompt fixes help keep businesses running; two reviewers describe sales calls falsely claiming prior contact or meetings. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 39 of them.

Downtown on North Pierce Street, ShowTech Solutions has been locally owned in Tampa for over 16 years. Founder Cary Showalter brings more than 20 years of IT experience, and chief operating officer Charles Love has spent 27 years or more leading MSPs.
The pitch is simple. ShowTech One is a flat-rate monthly plan with no hidden fees, the help desk and monitoring run 24/7, and the site says a real person picks up in under five minutes. Its named clients are nonprofits, law firms, certified public accountants (CPAs), real estate offices and manufacturers. The service menu covers cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, backup, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones and co-managed IT, plus CMMC Level 1 compliance and AI development. Ask what the flat fee leaves out.
Best fit: Nonprofits, law firms and accounting practices that want one predictable monthly bill.
Think twice if: a customer contract requires CMMC above Level 1; the site names Level 1, so ask what they can support past it.
5. Sixwatch
sixwatch.com- Google rating
- 5.0 (47 reviews)
- HQ
- Tampa, FL
- Founded
- 2020 on LinkedIn
- Team
- 14 on LinkedIn
What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and support help resolve reviewers' technical problems. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 32 of them.

Financial firms come first at Sixwatch. Its home page says it specializes in them, and its industries page widens the circle to healthcare and medical practices, law firms, nonprofits and associations, local government, and business and professional services. The office is at 1646 West Snow Avenue, Suite 140, and the Our Story page cites 25 years of practical IT experience.
The menu leans toward advice as much as support. Next to help desk, monitoring, network work and cybersecurity, it offers virtual chief information officer (vCIO) advisory, IT assessments, Microsoft 365 management and migrations, and AI adoption and governance. That mix suits an office that wants help planning its next two years of technology spend as well as day-to-day support. Ask who your vCIO would be, how often you would meet, and whether those sessions are inside the monthly fee or billed separately.
Best fit: Financial firms, medical practices and associations that want planning and support from one firm.
Think twice if: you are outside finance and want proof in your own sector. The home page leads with financial firms, so ask for two client references from your industry.
6. Newgentek

- Support
- 24/7 monitoring; on-call tech
- Pricing
- $150 to $199/hr on Clutch

- 2017
- Team
- 15-person team
What Google reviewers say: Installing and upgrading office, conference room, and restaurant technology. Our summary of the 29 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 28 of them.

Newgentek is founder-owned, has a 15-person team and has operated in Tampa since 2017 from an office on West Waters Avenue. Its services page states the size it is built for: firms with 10 to 250 employees. With a team that size, ask whether you get a named technician and who covers when that person is away.
The terms are unusually concrete. Pricing is flat-rate, set per user and per site, which suits companies with several locations. The site says a person answers the phone in about two minutes, monitoring runs 24/7, and an on-call technician covers after hours. Onboarding comes with a 90-day guarantee, and the firm reports 100% customer satisfaction (CSAT) last quarter. Its industries are professional services, construction and architecture, and hospitality and multi-unit businesses. Services include help desk, vCIO, cybersecurity and backups.
Best fit: Construction, architecture and multi-unit hospitality firms of 10 to 250 people.
Think twice if: you employ more than 250 people, above its stated range, or need a deep bench for a large rollout from a 15-person team.
7. Next Perimeter
nextperimeter.com- Google rating
- 5.0 (24 reviews)

- Support
- 24/7 monitoring
- Pricing

- Team
- 30 on LinkedIn
What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and troubleshooting help resolve computer issues. Our summary of the 24 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 5 of them.

Security sits at the center of the Next Perimeter offer. Alongside managed IT, it lists managed extended detection and response (MXDR) and a managed security information and event management (SIEM) service, plus compliance readiness for SOC 2, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards. It has done managed IT and cybersecurity since 2006, with headquarters in Tampa and a second office in Los Angeles.
The company positions itself for organizations with 20 to 300 users. Its Tampa page promises a 4-hour on-site response and 24/7 monitoring. The rest of the menu covers vCIO guidance, backup and disaster recovery, and VoIP. If an audit is coming, ask what readiness work is included in the monthly fee and what becomes a separate project.
Best fit: Firms of 20 to 300 users preparing for a SOC 2 or similar audit.
Think twice if: you expect a technician at your door within the hour; the Tampa page commits to four hours.
8. Symmetric IT Group
symmetricgroup.com- Google rating
- 4.9 (30 reviews)
- HQ
- Tampa, FL
- Founded
- 2008
- Team
- 20 on LinkedIn
What Google reviewers say: Prompt responses and quick fixes for business computer problems. Our summary of the 30 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 30 of them.

AI governance appears as a named service at Symmetric IT Group, which matters if your staff already paste client data into chat tools and nobody has set rules. The firm was founded in Tampa and has served small and medium businesses since 2008. It works from Race Track Road and also serves Hartford, Connecticut.
Its industries page names accounting, legal and manufacturing. Beyond managed IT and AI governance, the service list covers information security, Microsoft cloud solutions, business continuity, co-managed IT and professional IT services. If you already employ an internal IT person, the co-managed option adds support alongside that person. Ask on the first call what an AI governance engagement produces: a written policy, technical controls, staff training, or all three.
Best fit: Accounting and law firms that want rules and controls around staff use of AI tools.
Think twice if: you are outside accounting, legal and manufacturing; ask how many clients it has in your industry and whether you can speak with one.
How to choose a managed IT provider in Tampa
Start with size. Three firms here publish the company size they are built for. Newgentek says 10 to 250 employees, Next Perimeter says 20 to 300 users, and CIO Technology Solutions says 150 to 1,500 employees. If your headcount sits outside a firm's band, ask how many clients your size it supports now.
Then read the response promises closely, because they measure different things. Newgentek says a person answers in about two minutes, and ShowTech says under five. Those are pickup times. Data-Tech's 30 to 45 minutes is a resolution target, and Next Perimeter's four hours is the time to get someone on site. Ask each finalist to write its numbers into the service level agreement (SLA), along with what you get when they miss.
ShowTech sells flat-rate monthly plans, Newgentek prices per user and per site, and Data-Tech works from a quote. A flat rate only helps if you know its edges. Ask what sits outside it: new laptops, office moves, after-hours visits and projects.
On security, Data-Tech and predictiveIT both say they hold SOC 2 Type II audits of their own; ask for the most recent report. If a customer contract requires CMMC, three firms name it: Data-Tech lists CMMC compliance, ShowTech lists Level 1 compliance services, and CIO Technology Solutions claims experience with the CMMC 2.0 framework. Ask which level they have taken clients through.
Newgentek backs onboarding with a 90-day guarantee; ask what it covers. Then look at exit terms. With every finalist, ask what leaving early costs, how much notice you owe, and how admin passwords, documentation and backups come back to you.
Questions to ask on the first call:
- Which three clients look most like us, and can I call one?
- Which response and resolution times will you put in the contract?
- What does the monthly fee leave out?
- Who answers at 2 a.m., and are they your own staff?
- Where are our backups stored, and how long would a full restore take?
- If we leave, what do we get back, and how fast?
See how your MSP shows up in local search and AI answers
If you run an MSP, the firms above were checked the same way your buyers check you: a Google profile, a real address and specific claims on your own site. We help providers build that footprint through local search for MSPs, search marketing for MSPs and AI search visibility, and our Google Business Profile for MSPs guide covers the first steps. That footprint is what puts a firm on lists of the best managed IT services in Tampa.
