You run a business of 20 to 300 people in the Milwaukee area and want one outside firm to handle your information technology (IT): the help desk, security, cloud and backups, with engineers close enough to come on site. That firm is a managed service provider (MSP). This page compares seven contenders among the best managed IT services in Milwaukee, each checked against its own website and Google profile.
Each entry says what the firm states about itself, who it suits, and the one thing to press on before you sign. Where a provider makes a specific promise, such as a response time or a client retention figure, the page quotes it so you can hold them to it.
Three kinds of buyer will get less from this list. Enterprises with large internal IT departments usually shop national integrators. Owners who only want someone to call when a laptop breaks, and pay per visit, want break-fix help rather than a managed plan. Companies outside the Milwaukee area should look for providers with an office near them.
The numbers next to each name help you find your place on the page. They are not a ranking.
How this list was built
Every fact on this page comes from the provider's own live website or its Google Business Profile, both checked on November 7, 2026, plus Clutch and LinkedIn where a fact card says so. A firm made the list only if it met all four criteria:
- A Milwaukee area office or a stated service area that includes Milwaukee, with an address we could confirm.
- An ongoing managed services offer, with monitoring and support on a recurring plan.
- A live website that is clearly the company it claims to be.
- Enough confirmable detail on its own pages to describe what it does and who it serves.
We left out project-only and break-fix shops, sites that were down or could not be tied to the business, and firms with no Milwaukee area address we could confirm.
Each entry has a fact card showing founding year, headquarters (HQ), team size and Google rating where we could confirm them. A missing field means we did not find it on their pages; it says nothing about the firm.
Each entry opens with a fact card. Review summaries are our reading of each firm's most recent Google reviews (up to 40), pulled in November 2026. Pricing marked Clutch is the hourly band the firm reports on its Clutch profile, and team counts marked LinkedIn are people who list the firm as their employer there. Fields we could not confirm are left off the card.
Compare the top managed IT companies in Milwaukee
Each row shows the firm's headquarters (HQ), nearest office or stated service area, its Google rating, its support coverage and one thing it is known for. Google ratings come from each firm's Google Maps listing in November 2026. Under Google, n/a means we found no rating we could match to the firm; under Support, it means we could not confirm its support hours.

The best managed IT service providers in Milwaukee
1. Micro-Tech U.S.A.
mtusa.com- Google rating
- 4.8 (6 reviews)
- HQ
- Chicago, IL; Milwaukee office
- Founded
- 1989

Micro-Tech U.S.A. has provided IT services since 1989 and keeps a Milwaukee office at 1433 N Water St, Suite 411, alongside its Chicago headquarters. The service list runs long: managed IT with remote and on-site support, server administration, procurement, asset management, IT audits, cloud, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 and Azure, artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and professional audiovisual (Pro AV) work. That last item is useful if your meeting rooms and your network both need a vendor and you would rather call one.
Strategy comes through a virtual chief information officer (vCIO) offer, which suits a company where nobody inside owns the technology roadmap. The homepage promises a response in 15 minutes or less, describes customizable and scalable pricing models, and says its cybersecurity services adhere to System and Organization Controls (SOC 2), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. The team cites over 100 years of combined experience.
Best fit: A company that wants IT, security and conference-room audiovisual from a single vendor, with strategy help on top.
Think twice if: You want a firm headquartered in Milwaukee. Micro-Tech is based in Chicago and its Milwaukee page lists (312) Chicago-area phone numbers, so ask who staffs the Water Street office.
2. PC LAN Services

What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and follow-up help resolve office computer problems. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 40 of them.

With 88 Google reviews averaging 5.0, PC LAN Services has the largest review count on this page, and it pairs that with a 100% Unconditional Satisfaction Guarantee. The firm is based at 5100 W Mitchell St and says it serves the Wisconsin and Chicago areas. Its about page says it manages technology for over 30 businesses.
The pitch is personal: local engineers you see on a regular basis. Its managed services page names manufacturing and nonprofit organizations as focus areas, and the homepage lists 24/7 monitoring next to cybersecurity and local support. Response time is where the site gets specific. The about page says a support call is answered within 30 minutes or less, and the homepage puts it under 15 minutes. Ask what the guarantee covers in practice, and what happens if you invoke it in month three.
Best fit: A manufacturer or nonprofit that wants to know its engineers by name and see them on site.
Think twice if: You need one response time in writing. The site quotes both under 15 minutes and 30 minutes or less, so ask which figure goes into the contract.
3. River Run
river-run.com- Google rating
- 4.8 (67 reviews)
- HQ
- Glendale, WI
- Founded
- 1993 on LinkedIn
- Team
- 70+
What Google reviewers say: Quick ticket responses and repairs get reviewers working again. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 8 of them.

River Run leads with scale. The Glendale firm, on W Camden Rd, says it has more than 70 experienced professionals, 32 years in business and over 300 managed clients. That depth matters if you have several locations or a growing headcount and do not want your account to depend on one or two engineers.
Pricing is stated plainly on the homepage as an affordable flat monthly fee. Its listed services are managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud and help desk, so confirm which of them your quoted fee includes. A flat fee makes the budget conversation simple, as long as you know where its edges are. The company also says it runs on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), the management framework from the book Traction. If your own leadership team uses EOS, you will share a vocabulary with theirs. With 300+ clients spread across 70+ people, ask how many accounts your lead engineer or account manager carries.
Best fit: A growing company that wants a deep bench and a predictable monthly bill.
Think twice if: You expect projects to sit inside the flat fee. Ask which projects, on-site visits and after-hours requests are billed separately before you sign.
4. Third Coast IT
thirdcoastit.com- Google rating
- 5.0 (44 reviews)
- HQ
- Greenfield, WI
- Support
- 24/7 monitoring, managed clients
- Pricing
- $100 to $149/hr on Clutch
What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and timely fixes when business technology needs attention. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 19 of them.

Healthcare is the center of gravity at Third Coast IT. Its services page is aimed at healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical and spa organizations, and HIPAA compliance support sits in the core service list next to managed IT, cybersecurity and cloud. For a clinic or a med spa, ask how many practices like yours they support today.
The Greenfield firm, at 10440 W Pallottine Dr, also offers co-managed IT for businesses that already have in-house IT staff, and it supports phone systems. The homepage states 24/7 monitoring for managed clients and cites over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and IT support. Its 44 Google reviews average 5.0. If you are a practice with one internal IT person who is stretched thin, the co-managed model lets you keep that person and add a team behind them.
Best fit: A clinic, medical practice, pharmaceutical company or spa that needs HIPAA support from a firm that works in that world.
Think twice if: You are outside healthcare. Ask for two references in your own industry.
5. IT's UpTime
itsuptime.com- Google rating
- 4.9 (37 reviews)
- HQ
- Milwaukee, WI
- Founded
- 2021 on LinkedIn
What Google reviewers say: Quick ticket responses and troubleshooting help keep businesses running. Our summary of the 37 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 21 of them.

IT's UpTime says exactly who it is built for: small businesses with 10 to 120 employees, with manufacturing, financial services and nonprofits named on the homepage. The office is at 600 W Virginia St in Milwaukee.
Two claims stand out. The homepage says you reach a live technician on the first call 95% of the time, and that 100% of its clients have stayed with it. Both are easy to test: ask for call-answer reports from the last quarter and for two references who joined more than three years ago. The security stack is named, which helps when your insurer asks: Microsoft, Fortinet and Sophos, with endpoint detection and response, email security, Microsoft 365 management, and backup and disaster recovery. It also offers co-managed IT if you keep someone in-house. Its 37 Google reviews average 4.9.
Best fit: A 10 to 120 person manufacturer, financial firm or nonprofit that wants a person on the phone the first time.
Think twice if: You have more than 120 employees, or expect to soon. Ask how the firm handles clients that outgrow its stated range.
6. XL.net
xl.net- Google rating
- 5.0 (27 reviews)
- Office
- Milwaukee, WI
- Support
- 24/7/365 live support
What Google reviewers say: Prompt support and quick troubleshooting resolve everyday technical problems. Our summary of the 27 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 1 of them.

Where several firms here state 24/7 monitoring, XL.net states 24/7/365 live support on its Milwaukee page. The difference matters at 2 a.m. Monitoring means a system flags the problem; live support means a person answers when you call. Its contact page lists a Milwaukee office at 606 W Wisconsin Ave, Unit 202.
Its Milwaukee managed services page claims a 99.3% first-call IT issue resolution rate, a number you can ask them to report against each month. It also states ISO 27001:2022 certification, the international standard for information security management, which is an audited credential you can ask to see. Services cover managed IT, cybersecurity and co-managed IT for companies that keep internal staff. The 27 Google reviews average 5.0. For a business with night shifts, weekend operations or remote staff in other time zones, round-the-clock live support may decide the shortlist on its own.
Best fit: A business that runs nights or weekends and needs a human on the line whenever something breaks.
Think twice if: You want to know who sits behind the local address. Ask how many engineers work from the Wisconsin Ave office, where after-hours calls are answered, and how the 99.3% figure is measured.
7. Stamm Technologies
stammtech.com- Google rating
- 4.8 (22 reviews)
- HQ
- Milwaukee, WI
- Support
- 24/7 monitoring
- Founded
- 2000
What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and service when reviewers need technical help. Our summary of the 22 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 5 of them.

Stamm's story starts with Apple. Stamm Technologies was established in 2000, and its about page says the founder started as an Apple consultant. Apple and Mac support still appears in the service list next to managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud and backup.
That history is worth weighing if your office runs Macs, or a mix of Macs and Windows machines, and your past providers treated the Macs as an afterthought. The company is at 1207 W Canal St in Milwaukee and says it has spent over 25 years supporting Milwaukee businesses. The homepage states 24/7 monitoring. Its 22 Google reviews average 4.8. If most of your staff work on MacBooks, ask how many Mac-heavy offices they support now, what on-site visit times look like, and who your named engineer would be.
Best fit: An office that runs Macs alongside or instead of Windows and wants a provider with Apple experience from day one.
Think twice if: You need people answering phones overnight. The site states 24/7 monitoring, so ask whether a technician picks up after hours or the alert waits until morning.
How to choose a managed IT provider in Milwaukee
All seven firms have a Milwaukee area address, so the differences sit in pricing, hours, response promises, security evidence and contract terms.
Pricing models
Two firms describe their model on their sites. River Run states a flat monthly fee. Micro-Tech U.S.A. describes customizable, scalable pricing models. For every firm you talk to, get a written quote priced per user or per device, a list of what the monthly fee covers, and any onboarding charge.
Monitoring is different from live support
PC LAN Services, Third Coast IT and Stamm Technologies state 24/7 monitoring. XL.net offers live support around the clock, every day of the year. If your staff work evenings or weekends, ask each firm who answers the phone at 10 p.m. on a Saturday, and whether that person can fix the problem or only log it.
Response, answer and resolution claims
These promises measure different things. Micro-Tech's homepage claims 15 minutes or less to respond. PC LAN quotes under 15 minutes on its homepage and within 30 minutes on its about page. IT's UpTime says a live technician picks up the first call in 95% of cases. XL.net claims 99.3% first-call resolution. A fast answer is not the same as a fixed problem. Ask for the last three months of ticket reports and write the target that matters to you into the service level agreement (SLA).
Security and compliance evidence
Micro-Tech says its security services adhere to SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA. XL.net states ISO 27001:2022 certification. Third Coast IT lists HIPAA compliance support. Ask for the certificate or audit report, and if you handle patient data, ask whether the firm will sign a business associate agreement (BAA).
In-house staff and co-managed IT
If you already employ an IT person, Third Coast IT, IT's UpTime and XL.net all offer co-managed IT, where the provider backs up your staff rather than replacing them.
Contract and exit terms
Ask for the contract length, the notice period, any early termination fee, and what the firm hands over when you leave: admin passwords, network documentation, license records and backups. PC LAN Services offers an unconditional satisfaction guarantee, so ask how it works if you invoke it.
Questions for the first call
- Who will be our named engineer, and where do they work from?
- What exactly does the monthly fee cover, and what is billed on top?
- Who answers after hours, and can they resolve issues or only log them?
- Can we see last quarter's response and resolution reports?
- What security certifications or audits can you show us in writing?
- What notice do we give to leave, and what do you hand over?
