A managed information technology (IT) contract gives one outside firm the keys to your email, files, laptops, network and backups for a monthly fee. In Philadelphia, the firms competing for that contract work from very different places: office towers on Market, Chestnut and Walnut, an office on South Street, suburban offices in Bala Cynwyd and King of Prussia, and one large shop in Lumberton, New Jersey. This guide to the best managed IT services in Philadelphia compares eight managed service providers (MSPs).
It is written for the owner or office manager of a company with roughly 20 to 300 people, such as a law firm near City Hall, an accounting practice on the Main Line or a restaurant group. You want to know who is credible, how they bill, when a human answers the phone, and what leaving looks like.
It is not for enterprises with their own IT department, for anyone who only needs a laptop fixed once, or for companies outside the Philadelphia region. The order reflects fit for a typical buyer. The numbers are for moving around the page, not a score.
How this list was built
Every provider had to clear four checks, last reviewed on November 7, 2026:
- Facts from the source. Addresses, hours, founding years and service lists come from each provider's own website and its Google Business Profile. Clutch (hourly rates) and LinkedIn (team counts, founding years) appear only where a fact card labels them.
- A Philadelphia footprint. An office in the city or its suburbs, or a site that says the firm serves Philadelphia.
- Ongoing managed services. A monthly support relationship. Project-only firms were left out.
- A working site that is clearly the company. The homepage loads and matches the business on its Google listing.
Directories, repair shops with no managed plan and sites we could not read were left out. A firm missing here was not judged; we could not confirm enough about it.
Each entry opens with a fact card. Review summaries are our reading of each firm's most recent Google reviews (up to 40), pulled in November 2026. Pricing marked Clutch is the hourly band the firm reports on its Clutch profile. Team counts and founding years marked LinkedIn come from the firm's LinkedIn page. Fields we could not confirm are left off the card.

Each row shows the firm's headquarters (HQ), nearest office or stated service area, its Google rating, its support coverage and one thing it is known for. Google ratings are from each firm's Google Business Profile, read in November 2026. Under Google, n/a means we found no rating we could match to the firm; under Support, it means we could not confirm its support hours.

What Google reviewers say: Responsive, knowledgeable staff who stay patient with non-technical clients. Our summary of the 12 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 12 of them.

Provident Technology has run outsourced IT for small businesses since 2005. Today it works from a suite in One Penn Center on JFK Boulevard. Its homepage names four client groups: legal and professional services, financial services and certified public accountants (CPAs), biotech and healthcare, and nonprofits. The law firm Cleary, Josem & Trigiani says Provident has handled its IT since 2012, and Interius BioTherapeutics says Provident has been its managed services provider since June 2020; that client has more than 50 users.
Billing is a flat monthly fee across three named plans, Essential, Signature and Provident, which the firm pitches as the end of unpredictable hourly bills from break/fix support. The service list also covers penetration testing, security awareness training and security operations center (SOC) management.
Best fit: Law firms, CPA practices and life-science startups in Center City that want a nearby team and a predictable monthly bill.
Think twice if: you plan to buy the entry plan and expect help at any hour, because 24-7 remote support is listed on the Signature and Provident plans, not on Essential.

What Google reviewers say: Fast ticket responses and patient technicians who explain the fix. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 40 of them.

The biggest stated headcount on this list belongs to a firm in Lumberton, New Jersey. Miles IT was started by Chris Miles in 1997 and describes a team of more than 500 IT professionals. Its Lumberton page names Philadelphia among the areas it serves.
Its promises are specific. Miles guarantees a response in under one hour, says its average response time is 51 seconds, and advertises a $1 million security guarantee. It organizes support teams by industry vertical. It offers its annual System and Organization Controls (SOC 2) Type II report on request and lists experience with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Card Industry (PCI) rules and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-171. The Miles Assurance Plan runs month to month.
Best fit: Growing Philadelphia and South Jersey companies that want 24/7/365 coverage and audit paperwork they can hand to clients.
Think twice if: you want a provider a short walk from your office; its careers page names Lumberton, New Jersey as headquarters and says the company has no other physical locations.

What Google reviewers say: Responsive support that runs Microsoft 365, cloud and security day to day. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 39 of them.

On its homepage, ITAdOn IT Solutions makes a point about ownership: "No outside investors, so no competing interests." The firm lists its US head office at 1500 Chestnut Street, runs a 24/7 help desk and states a 15-minute average response time. Each client gets a dedicated point of contact who, in the firm's words, knows your environment, team and history.
Plans carry a fixed monthly fee, priced on what is managed, the size of your environment and the support level. Co-managed IT is offered for companies with an internal IT person, as is compliance management for HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements. One case study is local: round-the-clock monitoring rolled out across 12 clinics for a Philadelphia healthcare provider. The industry list runs from accounting and law firms to pharmaceutical companies.
Best fit: Healthcare groups, accounting practices and other small to midsize firms that want one named contact and a help desk that answers at any hour.
Think twice if: you need a new provider fully in place within a few weeks, since ITAdOn says most businesses are fully onboarded within 30 to 90 days.
4. Cityscape Technologies
cityscapetechs.com- Google rating
- 5.0 (50 reviews)
- Office
- 2001 Market Street, Philadelphia
- Support
- 24/7/365 help desk and live phone support
What Google reviewers say: A help desk that answers fast and stays on issues until they are fixed. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 14 of them.

Before launching Cityscape Technologies, its core team serviced the restaurant and healthcare industries, and the site says its expertise ranges from healthcare organizations to restaurant chains. The office is at 2001 Market Street. Support runs through a 24/7/365 help desk with live phone support, and the firm claims 90% of help desk tickets are resolved at first contact.
Pricing is a fixed monthly cost. Backups run locally and then copy to the cloud overnight, so one copy stays on site and a second sits offsite. Its security page says the approach aligns with the NIST cybersecurity framework, and the help desk is described as HIPAA compliant, worth getting in writing if you run a medical office. Cybersecurity, cloud work and IT projects sit alongside the help desk.
Best fit: Restaurant groups and medical offices in and around Center City that want a person on the phone at 2 a.m.
Think twice if: you need fixed response times in the contract; ask which times your service level agreement (SLA) would include, since the site says its agreements are flexible to fit any budget.

- HQ
- Wyomissing, PA; office in King of Prussia

Stratix sells managed IT, cybersecurity, imaging and document management under one roof, which suits an office that wants one vendor for its network and its documents. Compliance help covers a long list of frameworks, including HIPAA, PCI, the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Every solution comes with what the firm calls its We Make It Right Guarantee, and its cybersecurity service includes 24/7 monitoring and threat hunting. Its industry pages cover accounting, architecture and engineering, construction, law, manufacturing and municipalities.
Best fit: Suburban firms in regulated fields such as accounting, law, construction and local government that want IT and document management from one vendor.
Think twice if: your team works evenings or weekends; published support hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, and extended hours need a signed agreement.
6. Lumis IT
lumisit.com- Google rating
- 5.0 (15 reviews)
- HQ
- Bala Cynwyd, PA (Two Bala Plaza)
- Support
- Help desk staffed 8am to 6pm; 24/7 monitoring
- Founded
- 2017 on LinkedIn
What Google reviewers say: Prompt, patient help that gets small offices back up quickly. Our summary of the 15 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 8 of them.

Banks, credit unions and investment advisers are the core audience for Lumis IT, which says it "specializes in financial services technology." From Two Bala Plaza in Bala Cynwyd, it maintains core banking systems, portfolio management platforms, trading applications and other financial software.
The compliance work follows that client base: controls for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Safeguards Rule, cybersecurity requirements from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and rules from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with HIPAA support for its healthcare clients. For small businesses, pricing is flat rate with no surprise fees, and Lumis claims a 99% client retention rate. Under its business hours support, it says phone help is available within 90 seconds and other channels get a reply in under two hours.
Best fit: Wealth managers, community banks and finance teams along City Avenue and the Main Line.
Think twice if: you need a live technician after hours; the support center lists the help desk as actively staffed from 8am to 6pm, so ask how night calls are handled.
7. Voree IT Solutions
voree.net- Google rating
- 4.8 (33 reviews)
- HQ
- Philadelphia, PA; office in Wilmington, DE
- Support
- 24/7/365 support
- Pricing
- $100 to $149/hr on Clutch
- Founded
- 2006
What Google reviewers say: Quick replies and hands-on help setting up offices and networks. Our summary of the 33 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 4 of them.

Restaurant owners will recognize the systems on the restaurant page of Voree IT Solutions: Aloha and other point of sale (POS) providers, reservation platforms such as OpenTable, security cameras and POS integrations. Founded in 2006, the firm works from 1601 Walnut Street and says its Center City location lets its support team reach clients in no time. It also lists an office in Wilmington, Delaware.
Coverage is 24x7x365 support for a flat-rate monthly fee, with specifics set in a statement of work. Restaurant clients also get PCI supervision for card payments. Beyond restaurants, the services menu covers managed firewalls, cloud, disaster recovery and backup, and project planning for small and midsize businesses. Partner badges include Datto, Fortinet at the Silver level, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and ESET.
Best fit: Restaurant groups and small Center City offices, plus businesses with locations in both Philadelphia and Wilmington.
Think twice if: you may change providers again later, because the master services agreement bills any requested transition services on a time and material basis.
8. Abuzz Technologies
abuzztech.com- Google rating
- 4.9 (38 reviews)
- Office
- 744 South Street, Philadelphia
- Support
- Available 24/7
- Pricing
- $100 to $149/hr on Clutch
- Founded
- 2006
What Google reviewers say: Quick, knowledgeable help for small offices, on site or remote. Our summary of the 38 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 37 of them.

Abuzz Technologies opened in 2006 and says it has served Philadelphia businesses ever since. Its office is on South Street. Its most concrete promise is about repeat problems: if the same issue comes back within seven days, Abuzz fixes it again at no extra charge.
The service list goes past the usual managed IT basics. Alongside cybersecurity, business email security and cloud services, Abuzz sells business phone systems, website design and digital marketing, so one vendor can cover computers, phones and the website. Offsite backup comes with unlimited storage and can be canceled at any time. Billing follows a fixed structure that the firm says avoids surprises, and it says it is available 24/7. Data migration, loss prevention and malware removal round out the menu, which the firm aims at small to medium-size businesses.
Best fit: Small businesses that want one local firm for computers, email security, phones and the website.
Think twice if: you need long file history; the offsite backup page advertises revision history of up to three versions per file, so ask about retention before you move data.
How to choose a managed IT provider in Philadelphia
Most of these firms describe their pricing as a flat or fixed monthly fee. Ask for a written quote per user or per device, and ask what sits outside it: on-site visits, after-hours work, new laptop setups and office moves.
Separate staffed hours from monitored hours. "24/7" means different things on different sites. Miles IT, ITAdOn and Cityscape describe help around the clock. Lumis lists its help desk as staffed 8am to 6pm with 24/7 system monitoring, Stratix publishes weekday hours of 8 to 5, and Provident lists 24-7 remote support on its two upper plans.
Match compliance to your industry. A wealth manager should ask about GLBA and FINRA controls, which Lumis names directly. A restaurant group taking cards should ask about PCI, which Voree supervises for its restaurant clients.
Put response times in the contract. Miles IT guarantees a response in under one hour, ITAdOn states a 15-minute average and Lumis quotes 90 seconds for business-hours phone help. Ask what happens when a target is missed.
Read the exit terms before the start date. Miles runs its plan month to month. Voree's master services agreement bills transition help on a time and material basis. ITAdOn tells new clients to expect 30 to 90 days of onboarding. Give the old provider notice only once the new one has a written plan to take over admin passwords, domain records and backups.
Distance still matters for on-site work. Five of these firms list a Center City or South Street address. Lumis is in Bala Cynwyd, Stratix in King of Prussia and Miles IT in Lumberton.
Questions worth asking on the first call:
- Is the help desk staffed by people at night and on weekends, or only monitored?
- What exactly is outside the monthly fee?
- Which response time is written into the contract, and what happens when it is missed?
- Who holds our admin passwords and domain records, and how do we get them back if we leave?
- How often do you test a backup with a real restore?
- Do you use artificial intelligence (AI) tools on our data, and where does that data go?
