Best Managed IT Service Providers in New York City | 2026

Eight managed IT providers serving Manhattan, compared on offices, support hours, Google ratings and fit. Last reviewed November 7, 2026.

If you run a 20- to 300-person business in Manhattan, your managed information technology (IT) provider holds the keys to your email, files, laptops and the security controls your insurer and clients ask about. Switching is slow and a bad pick is expensive, so the shortlist matters. This page compares eight firms offering the best managed IT services in New York, focused on Manhattan, using what each firm says about itself, and lists what to ask before you sign.

Every entry is a managed service provider (MSP): a firm that runs your IT for a recurring fee rather than billing per repair. The numbering is for navigation, not a verdict on quality; the right pick depends on your headcount, your industry and how much security work you need.

Skip this page if you are an enterprise with in-house IT looking for staff augmentation, want a technician only when something breaks, or sit outside the New York City (NYC) area.

How this list was built

Every firm on this page had to clear four checks:

  1. Confirmed at the source. Facts come from the provider's live website and its Google Business Profile. Where a fact card uses Clutch (hourly rates) or LinkedIn (team counts, founding years), it says so.
  2. A New York City presence. An office in the city, or a stated service area that covers Manhattan.
  3. A managed services offer. Ongoing support for a recurring fee, beyond one-off project work.
  4. A live site that is clearly the company. The domain resolves and belongs to the firm named.

Each entry gives the firm's headquarters (HQ) and, where it differs, its New York office. When a fact is missing from an entry, we could not confirm it; that says nothing about the firm. Google ratings and review counts were read on November 7, 2026.

Last reviewed: November 7, 2026.

Each entry opens with a fact card. Review summaries are our reading of each firm's most recent Google reviews (up to 40), pulled in November 2026. Pricing marked Clutch is the hourly band the firm reports on its Clutch profile, and team counts marked LinkedIn are people who list the firm as their employer there. Fields we could not confirm are left off the card.

Each row shows the firm's headquarters (HQ), nearest office or stated service area, its Google rating, its support coverage and one thing it is known for. Google ratings come from each firm's Google Maps listing in November 2026. Under Google, n/a means we found no rating we could match to the firm; under Support, it means we could not confirm its support hours.

Scale is the reason to look at Dataprise. The firm cites more than 30 years in business, 386,000 managed devices and 260,000 supported users, and it lists a New York City office among its locations. Managed IT is sold in three bundled tiers called IT Foundation, IT Fortify and IT Comply. They step up from core support to security to compliance, with a monthly review by a virtual chief information security officer (vCISO) in the mix.

The security bench is deep: a security operations center (SOC), security information and event management (SIEM) and threat hunting, alongside a 24/7 service desk, backup and disaster recovery, and Azure and Microsoft 365 migrations. Dataprise describes itself as System and Organization Controls (SOC 2) compliant and ready for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) rules. It names financial services and healthcare as focus industries.

Best fit: A 150-person financial or healthcare firm that wants a large bench and a packaged compliance tier.

Think twice if: you want the provider's leadership in the city. Dataprise is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, and its New York office is one of several regional hubs.

Security comes first at NERO Consulting. The firm calls itself a managed security service provider (MSSP) and runs a 24/7 network operations center (NOC) and help desk from Lower Manhattan, serving all five boroughs. Two credentials back up the pitch: SOC 2 Type II and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001:2022.

The team is also a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) InfraGard program and the US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force. Beyond security, the service list covers network management, cloud, IT consulting and a vCISO for companies that need security leadership without a full-time hire. NERO lists partnerships with Microsoft, Cisco, Google, Apple and Amazon. On its own site, it also reports placing 12th on the 2026 MSP 501 list.

Best fit: A company whose clients, auditors or cyber insurer ask for certified security controls at its IT provider.

Think twice if: public reviews weigh heavily for you. The Google profile showed three reviews on November 7, 2026, so ask for client references in your industry.

ETech 7 homepage, November 2026

ETech 7 puts numbers on its service. Its Queens page guarantees a 15-minute help desk response and 99.99% uptime, figures worth asking to see in your own contract. The firm is based in Manhattan, has been in business for more than 12 years, and counts 72 years of combined staff experience. It also runs offices in Fresh Meadows, Queens and East Meadow on Long Island.

The service list covers managed servers and networks, backup and disaster recovery, cloud and Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and IT consulting, with a 24/7 help desk on top. One detail stands out for ransomware planning: ETech 7 stores offline backups every week as a safeguard. Its stated industries are legal, financial, healthcare and startups, and the site shows Microsoft and Dell partner logos.

Best fit: A law, finance or healthcare office in Manhattan or Queens that wants response times in writing.

Think twice if: the guarantee is your deciding factor. The 15-minute and 99.99% figures appear on the Queens page, so ask whether your contract carries them.

Exigent Technologies homepage, November 2026

Retention is the headline at Exigent Technologies. Clients stay with the firm more than 10 years on average, and its staff stay about 10 years too. Exigent runs a Manhattan office at 845 Third Avenue alongside its New Jersey base, and its clients typically have 20 to 250 users.

Each client is paired with a dedicated Technical Advisor, and support carries service level agreement (SLA) response times. The offer that lowers the risk of switching is a 180-day guarantee: you can cancel with no penalty in the first six months. The managed plan, called Assurance Managed Services, sits beside cybersecurity, security awareness training, HIPAA assessments and co-managed IT. Exigent serves healthcare, legal, nonprofit and manufacturing clients, and it appears on both the Computer Reseller News (CRN) MSP 500 and the Channel Partners MSP 501.

Best fit: A 20 to 250 user nonprofit, law or healthcare office that wants a long relationship and a clean way out if it goes wrong.

Think twice if: you have more than 250 users. Exigent says its clients typically run 20 to 250, and its headquarters is in Morristown, New Jersey.

ITNYC was founded by G. Stalin Babu, a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) who cites more than 30 years of enterprise technology experience. The firm works out of Wall Street and covers Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island, plus Long Island and New Jersey. Its 24/7 help desk handles first-line through third-line tickets, backed by a SOC, network monitoring and cloud management.

Regulated industries are the focus. ITNYC offers alignment work for the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) rules, SOC 2 and HIPAA, and it names financial services, healthcare, law firms and insurers as its markets. The team's certifications include the CCIE, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). A vCISO and IT consulting round out the list.

Best fit: A bank, insurer, law firm or medical practice that wants regulatory alignment work from the same firm that runs its help desk.

Think twice if: your business sits outside finance, healthcare, law or insurance. Ask how many current clients look like yours.

What Google reviewers say: Quick replies and troubleshooting help reviewers get back to work. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 26 of them.

RCS Professional Services homepage, November 2026

Eighty-eight Google reviews at a 5.0 average give RCS Professional Services the largest review count among the firms here with a Google rating on file. The firm cites more than 25 years of experience, supports over 70 businesses across the US, and runs a second office in Marietta, Georgia, alongside its Maiden Lane base.

The service model is personal. Each client gets a dedicated team of technicians, and the Net-Admin service includes visits from a virtual chief information officer (vCIO). Support runs 24/7, remote and onsite. If you are tired of explaining your setup to a new technician on every call, that model is the draw. Beyond the core managed service, RCS covers cybersecurity, cloud and Microsoft 365, and artificial intelligence (AI) and technology consulting. Its stated industries are finance, healthcare, nonprofits and creative agencies.

Best fit: A nonprofit or creative agency that wants a dedicated technician team and vCIO visits through the Net-Admin service.

Think twice if: you want a team that works only for your company. RCS says it supports over 70 businesses, so ask how many clients each dedicated team covers.

7. Street-Tech NYC

  • Data center support
Street-Tech NYC homepage, November 2026

Small Manhattan offices are the whole market for Street-Tech NYC, and the firm says so. It has served Manhattan businesses since 2015 and works with offices from two people to about 50 seats. Support is sold on flat-rate or hourly plans, so a small office can choose between a fixed monthly cost and paying as it goes.

Its base is 60 Hudson Street, and Street-Tech offers on-site datacenter hands in that building, which is useful if your servers or network gear live there. The rest of the service list covers help desk, Microsoft 365 and Azure, and cybersecurity. The stated industries are professional firms: law, accounting, consulting and finance. That narrow focus is the point: one borough and offices small enough to price simply.

Best fit: A law, accounting or consulting office in Manhattan with two to 50 people that wants flat-rate or hourly support.

Think twice if: you have more than about 50 seats or any office outside Manhattan. Street-Tech serves Manhattan only and aims at small offices.

Net at Work homepage, November 2026

Pick Net at Work when your IT problem and your finance system problem are the same problem. Founded in 1996 and based on Eighth Avenue, the firm pitches itself as one partner for advisory, business applications and managed IT, and it cites nearly 30 years advising hundreds of organizations.

On the applications side, it handles enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial management on NetSuite and Acumatica. On the IT side, it runs managed IT and security with a help desk and states 24/7/365 coverage for managed IT. A fractional chief information officer (CIO) and AI advisory sit on top for leadership-level planning. Its stated industries are healthcare, construction, discrete manufacturing and chemicals. That breadth suits a company whose operations run through its ERP.

Best fit: A manufacturer or construction firm running, or moving to, NetSuite or Acumatica that wants one vendor for the system and the network.

Think twice if: you only need managed IT. It is one of several service lines alongside ERP and advisory, so ask who leads your account day to day.

How to choose a managed IT provider in New York City

Start with size and footprint. A 12-person office on Hudson Street and a 250-person firm spread across two boroughs need different providers. Street-Tech NYC aims at offices up to about 50 seats, Exigent's typical client has 20 to 250 users, and Dataprise works at national scale.

Pricing takes a few shapes. Dataprise sells three bundled tiers. Street-Tech offers flat-rate or hourly plans. Exigent pairs its managed plan with a 180-day guarantee. Ask every firm for a monthly per-user or per-device quote and a list of what sits outside it (projects, onsite visits, after-hours work).

Pin down what 24/7 means. Most firms on this list advertise round-the-clock support. Ask who picks up at 2 a.m., whether that person can fix the problem or only log it, and whether onsite help is included or billed.

Ask for the report behind every certification. NERO cites ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II, Dataprise says it is SOC 2 compliant, and ITNYC and Exigent sell compliance and HIPAA work. A provider's certification covers its own controls, so ask separately what it will do for yours.

Get SLA terms by severity. ETech 7 publishes a 15-minute help desk response on its Queens page, and Exigent advertises SLA-guaranteed response times. Hold any firm to numbers like these in the signed contract.

Read the exit terms before the start terms. Ask about contract length, the notice period and what happens to your admin passwords, documentation and backups when you leave.

Treat search rank as a marketing signal. Where a firm shows up on Google or in an AI assistant's answer reflects its marketing work: search marketing for MSPs, Google Business Profiles for MSPs and AI search visibility. It says little about how fast anyone answers your ticket, so read the review text and ask for two references your size.

Questions for the first call:

  • Who answers the phone at 2 a.m., and are they your own staff?
  • What are your response and resolution times by severity, and are they in the contract?
  • How many clients does each technician or team cover?
  • Which of your certifications are audited, and can we see the report?
  • If we leave, what do we get back, and how fast?

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much do managed IT services cost in New York City?

Price depends on headcount, devices, security scope and compliance needs, so get written quotes. Among the firms on this page, Dataprise sells three bundled tiers (IT Foundation, IT Fortify and IT Comply), Street-Tech NYC offers flat-rate and hourly plans, and Exigent Technologies backs its managed plan with a 180-day guarantee. Ask each firm for a monthly per-user or per-device price and a written list of what falls outside it.

What does a managed IT service include?

Across these firms, listed services include a help desk, management of devices, networks, cloud and Microsoft 365, backup and disaster recovery, and cybersecurity. Several add a virtual chief information security officer (vCISO) or virtual chief information officer (vCIO) for planning. Dataprise and ITNYC also run security operations centers, and NERO Consulting runs a network operations center. Ask for a written scope so you know exactly what is covered.

How do I switch managed IT providers without disruption?

Read your current contract's notice period first, then ask the new provider for a written onboarding plan with dates. Make sure admin passwords, domain records, software licenses, documentation and backups are handed over before the old contract ends. A trial window lowers the risk: Exigent Technologies lets new clients cancel with no penalty in the first six months.

Should I choose a local New York firm or a national provider?

Several firms here are based in Manhattan, including NERO Consulting, ITNYC and Street-Tech NYC, and Street-Tech serves Manhattan only. Dataprise is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, and cites 386,000 managed devices and 260,000 supported users. Decide by how often you need someone onsite and how much security depth you need, then ask each firm about onsite response times.
