A Phoenix company that hands its information technology (IT) to an outside firm is choosing two things: who answers when email stops at 7 a.m., and how far a technician has to drive to reach you. In a metro that runs from Peoria to Queen Creek, the second one matters. This guide compares eight candidates for the best managed IT services in Phoenix, each a managed service provider (MSP) with an office in the Valley.
The firms fall into two camps. Some are headquartered here and still run by the people who started them. Others are regional or national companies with a Phoenix office and branches in other states. The entries say which camp each firm is in. Four of the eight publish prices on their own sites, and most state a response target in minutes, so you can compare on numbers before anyone sends a proposal.
The page is for owners and office managers at companies of roughly 20 to 300 people, and less useful for an enterprise with its own IT department or a one-time repair. Entry numbers are for navigation only.
How this list was built
Each firm had to meet four conditions:
- Facts read at the source. Everything comes from the provider's own site and its Google Business Profile. Clutch (hourly rates) and LinkedIn (team counts, founding years) appear only where a fact card says so.
- A Valley presence. An office in the Phoenix area or a stated Phoenix service area.
- Ongoing managed services. A monthly support relationship, with projects as an add-on at most.
- A live, matching site. The homepage loads and belongs to the business on the Google listing.
We left out consumer repair shops, project-only firms, companies with no Phoenix-area office or service area, sites that failed to load or belonged to someone else, and any firm with MSP in its name. Last reviewed November 7, 2026.
Each entry opens with a fact card. Review summaries are our reading of each firm's most recent Google reviews (up to 40), pulled in November 2026. Pricing marked Clutch is the hourly band the firm reports on its Clutch profile. Team counts and founding years marked LinkedIn come from the firm's LinkedIn page. Fields we could not confirm are left off the card.

Each row shows the firm's headquarters (HQ), nearest office or stated service area, its Google rating, its support coverage and one thing it is known for. Google ratings are from each firm's Google Business Profile, read in November 2026. Under Google, n/a means we found no rating we could match to the firm; under Support, it means we could not confirm its support hours.

What Google reviewers say: Very fast response times, with follow-up after each fix. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 11 of them.

OnboardIT was started in 2014 by Brandon Garrett while he was working in IT and finishing his degree at Arizona State University. The office is on South 48th Street, and the site lists onsite service in Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa, plus Flagstaff.
Its sharpest specialty is Microsoft 365. The team builds automations for new account setup, computer deployment and migrations, which pays off if you hire often and hate watching a new starter wait for a laptop. Clients get a portal for tickets, inventory and policy checks. OnboardIT says its support is in-house and local, never an overseas call center, and that it is not backed by private equity. It names M Culinary, a Southwest hospitality company, as a client. Pricing is a flat monthly fee per user or per device, with no lengthy lock-in contracts.
Best fit: A 20 to 150 person Valley office that runs on Microsoft 365 and adds staff often.
Think twice if: You want round-the-clock security staff on the provider's own payroll; OnboardIT runs its 24/7 security operations center (SOC) through a partner, and its standard response targets apply during business hours.

What Google reviewers say: Fast help desk replies and practical help tightening cybersecurity. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 40 of them.

MBPS began as the in-house IT team for Pivot Equity's group of legal, financial and insurance businesses before it took outside clients. Its pricing page lists per-user monthly prices, with help desk from $45 per user. Projects run $150 an hour. The help desk is staffed 24/7, and the firm says critical issues get a response in under 15 minutes. It also says its technicians average 20 years of experience.
The headquarters sits at 200 East Van Buren downtown, with field work run from a second office on North Central Avenue. It offers same-day onsite visits across the Valley when needed, and its locations page runs from Paradise Valley and Ahwatukee to Queen Creek and Cave Creek. Casino gaming, hospitality, logistics and medical practices are among the industries on its Phoenix page.
Best fit: A 15 to 70 person firm that wants to price IT line by line before a sales call.
Think twice if: You are a very small office; the bundled plan carries a $475 monthly minimum plus a setup fee.

What Google reviewers say: Patient technicians who resolve issues quickly and keep you informed. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 10 of them.

Coeus Consulting has given its documentation method a name. The Coeus Codex records a "Known State" for each client's systems, security and lifecycle, so any engineer who opens your ticket works from the same picture instead of depending on one hero technician. Co-managed clients, where Coeus backs up an internal IT person, get the full Codex assessment too.
The firm is based on East Thomas Road and names Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale, Glendale, Chandler and Tucson among the areas it serves. Its client list leans toward healthcare, with Native Health, SunHealth and Southwest Care on the site, plus a case study with Berge Automotive Group. A pricing guide on the site puts a 30 to 40 person company at $150 to $250 per user per month fully managed, or $105 to $205 co-managed. Compliance support covers the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), among others.
Best fit: Clinics, dealerships and law offices that need compliance paperwork kept current.
Think twice if: You want several Arizona branches; Coeus lists one Arizona office, in Phoenix, with its others in Pasadena, Las Vegas and Albuquerque.

What Google reviewers say: Friendly, knowledgeable staff who give honest, practical recommendations. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 39 of them.

The PK in PK Tech stands for Price Kong, the certified public accountant (CPA) firm it was founded inside in 2009. Founder Jordan Hetrick bought out the partners in late 2016 and still owns the business, which the site calls 100% independently owned with no interest in selling to private equity.
Two choices stand out. PK Tech goes through an annual system and organization controls (SOC 2) Type II audit by an independent CPA firm, and it puts prices on its website. The pricing page works from a headcount calculator; it opened at $682 a month for Flex, $1,680 for Essentials and $2,047 for Essentials 24/7, with Microsoft 365 Business Premium required. The office is on North 7th Street, and onsite work covers Greater Phoenix and anywhere within two hours of it.
Best fit: Accounting, finance and law firms that want a provider audited to the standard their own clients expect.
Think twice if: You need overnight help on a lower tier; standard support runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Arizona time, and the 24/7 service desk sits on the Essentials 24/7 plan.

What Google reviewers say: Quick responses that resolve issues fast, sometimes outside normal hours. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 39 of them.

cloudIT was formed in 2012 and has its headquarters on East Madison Street. It calls itself a technology service provider and sells managed support (cloudManage) and security (cloudSecure). It describes its pricing as an all-included flat rate at a fixed monthly price, and support runs 24 hours a day. The managed plan includes a 24/7 help desk, patching and quarterly business reviews. Nonprofits, schools and medical offices are among the industries it names.
The firm also has an office in Cottonwood. It has grown by buying Fortress Computer Pros in San Diego, AllPro Technologies in Cincinnati and MDC Technologies in Monett, Missouri. Sage hosting and artificial intelligence (AI) and automation work sit on the service list. The founder's stated rule is to recommend the strategy that fits, whether or not cloudIT sells it, a line worth quoting back when a proposal arrives.
Best fit: Companies with staff in both Phoenix and Cottonwood, or teams that run Sage.
Think twice if: You want a firm that works only in Arizona; cloudIT has acquired firms in California, Ohio and Missouri, so ask who your day-to-day team will be.

What Google reviewers say: Technicians fix problems within minutes and follow up afterward. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 40 of them.

With 322 reviews on its Phoenix Google listing, LayerCake Technologies carries the deepest review history on this page. The company describes itself as a unified team built from three long-standing MSPs within the Blue Alliance platform. Its Phoenix office is on North 24th Street, and the site claims more than 85 customers across Arizona.
Compliance gets a lot of room on LayerCake's site. It sells governance, risk and compliance as a service next to managed IT, and talks about taking accountability for a client's compliance posture. The site states a response time of under 9 minutes to customer needs, with round-the-clock monitoring and support, and says its plans scale from 10 people to 2,000. Accounting, architecture, construction, engineering and law appear among its industries.
Best fit: Growing professional firms that want compliance work and day-to-day IT under one contract.
Think twice if: You want a firm rooted only in Phoenix; this is one of seven LayerCake locations, the rest in Atlanta and the Midwest, and pricing comes from a custom quote.

What Google reviewers say: Quick responses and technicians who explain problems and answer questions. Our summary of the 33 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 22 of them.

Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS) was founded in Las Vegas in 2003 and now works from 14 cities. Its Phoenix office is on North 16th Street, and the Phoenix page says local technicians can reach urgent issues anywhere in the Valley, Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler included. Lyons Roofing, AR Aviation Services and Tower Arch Capital are named there as Phoenix clients.
Two things set ITS apart. It publishes plan prices: Core at $125 to $170 per user per month, and Secure at $160 to $250. And its Phoenix page offers an unconditional 365-day satisfaction guarantee. Security work runs through its own Black Breach Security Division, which handles penetration testing among other services. Local IT firms, a Phoenix one among them, joined ITS between 2018 and 2022, and it partnered with a private equity firm in 2022.
Best fit: Regulated businesses that want a published price and a large in-house security bench.
Think twice if: You prefer an owner-run local firm or a single all-in price; ITS quotes Microsoft 365 licensing, backup and disaster recovery, and cloud separately from its per-user plans.
8. 917 Solutions

What Google reviewers say: Deep Microsoft 365 and security knowledge, explained clearly to staff. Our summary of the 40 most recent Google reviews, November 2026. The firm replied to 38 of them.

Mines, plants and engineering offices are where 917 Solutions aims its pitch. The site names engineering, construction, mining, manufacturing and defense organizations as its focus, and Southland Industries appears among its client testimonials. The managed service is built around security controls and hardening Microsoft 365, backed by a security operations center that runs 24x7.
The firm is woman-owned and holds the federal Women Owned Small Business designation, which can matter if you bid on government work. Its Phoenix page promises a help desk that responds in under 15 minutes and resolves most problems in under 30, and says it works with clients of 20 to 2,500 employees. Its services page adds co-managed setups. Offices are in Phoenix, on North Central Avenue, and in Flagstaff. The about page sums it up: "Rooted in Arizona. Trusted nationwide."
Best fit: Engineering, construction and mining firms with people in the field and customers asking security questions.
Think twice if: You run a retail shop or a medical office; the site is built around industrial sectors, so ask for clients in your line of work.
How to choose a managed IT provider in Phoenix
Start with price. Coeus, ITS, MBPS and PK Tech all post figures, and each builds them differently. ITS quotes a per-user band and bills Microsoft 365 licensing, backup and cloud on top. MBPS publishes per-user prices; its bundled plan has a $475 monthly minimum. PK Tech prices whole plans from your headcount. Add the excluded items back before you compare totals.
Then pin down what "24/7" covers. On this list it means a staffed help desk at some firms, round-the-clock monitoring at others, and a top-tier upgrade at PK Tech. Ask who picks up at 9 p.m. on a Saturday, and whether they can fix the problem.
Geography is the Phoenix-specific question. The Valley is wide, and an office on North Central Avenue is a long drive from Gilbert or Peoria. MBPS and OnboardIT name the suburbs they cover onsite, and Coeus and ITS name the Valley cities they serve. Ask for the usual drive time to your address and whether visits cost extra.
On security, ask whether the security operations center is staffed by the provider or a partner, and whether the provider holds its own audit report; PK Tech says it is audited to SOC 2 Type II every year. Ask for the response targets on the website (9 minutes at LayerCake, 15 at several others) to be written into the service level agreement (SLA), with a resolution target next to them. Ownership is fair game too: ITS says it partnered with a private equity firm, while PK Tech and OnboardIT say they are not backed by one.
Questions for the first call:
- Which suburbs do you cover onsite, and how fast can someone reach my office?
- What is left out of the monthly price, and what does a typical month cost for a company my size?
- What response and resolution targets will you put in the contract?
- How long is the term, what does leaving cost, and how do you hand over passwords and documentation?
