Best Managed IT Service Providers in Austin | 2026

Eight Austin managed IT providers compared on office, team size, support hours, response promises and contract terms. Reviewed November 2026.

If you run a 20 to 300 person company in Austin, your information technology (IT) is probably handled by one overstretched employee, a provider you have outgrown, or nobody in particular. This page compares the best managed IT services in Austin for that situation: eight managed service providers (MSPs) with an Austin presence, a managed IT offer and published terms you can check yourself.

Each entry covers what the firm says about its support hours, response times, pricing model and contract length, plus where it is headquartered and how large the team is. Every fact on this page was read on the provider's own website in November 2026, and each one links to the firm's homepage so you can confirm it.

Who this is not for: enterprises with a large internal IT department, buyers who only want someone to fix a laptop when it breaks, and companies well outside the Austin area. The numbers on the list are for navigation; the "Best fit" and "Think twice if" lines under each entry show who each firm suits.

How this list was built

We started from the firms that show up most when Austin buyers search for managed IT, then checked each one against four criteria:

  • An Austin-area office or location, listed on the company's own site.
  • A managed services offer, not project work only.
  • A live website that is clearly this company, with services, contact details and terms you can read.
  • At least three facts we could confirm on that website, such as founding year, headquarters (HQ), team size, support hours or contract terms.

Firms were left out if their name contains "MSP", if their site blocked every attempt to read it, if we could not confirm an Austin office, or if they sell software development rather than managed IT. Where a fact could not be confirmed, it is left off the page. A blank cell means we did not find it, not that the firm lacks it. Last reviewed November 3, 2026.

The best managed IT service providers in Austin

1. Contigo Technology

Contigo Technology homepage, November 2026

HQ: Austin, TX | Team: 32 experts

For a buyer who wants their IT team down the road rather than spread across states, Contigo Technology makes the plainest local claim on this list: all of its employees work from its Austin office on Business Park Drive. The team is 32 people.

Help desk coverage comes in two forms, business hours or 24/7/365, with systems monitoring running around the clock either way. Contigo lists one-hour server restoration among its service points. Pricing is quoted per client and described as typically all-inclusive and monthly, set by company size, user count and support needs, with security, cloud and backup requirements moving the rate. It names healthcare, manufacturing, food and beverage, engineering and finance as the industries it serves. It also runs an Austin team that builds custom artificial intelligence (AI) agents inside Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

Best fit: An Austin company in one of those five industries that wants a provider whose staff all work from Austin.

Think twice if: You want AI agent work bundled into your monthly fee; Contigo describes AI development as an engagement separate from its managed IT and cybersecurity programs.

2. Integritek

Integritek homepage, November 2026

HQ: Austin, TX | Team: 30+

The detail that sets Integritek apart is structural. Each client gets a dedicated support pod, an assigned team for that business. Its head office sits on the South I-35 frontage road in Austin, and the company lists its team as 30+.

Billing is a fixed monthly charge per seat on annual agreements, with larger projects quoted separately. To take some of the risk out of a year-long contract, Integritek offers a 90-day satisfaction guarantee on eligible annual agreements: its FAQ says you can cancel within the first 90 days without a penalty if the service is not working for you. It also belongs to Lyra Technology Group's network of more than 100 firms, which it credits for access to enterprise pricing. Its industry list is long and leans professional: accounting, architecture, banking, construction, engineering, healthcare, insurance and venture capital among them.

Best fit: A professional services firm that wants an assigned support team and a penalty-free exit in the first 90 days of an eligible annual agreement.

Think twice if: You expect routine requests worked overnight; Integritek covers urgent issues 24/7/365 and handles lower-priority requests during normal business hours.

3. Whitehat Virtual Technologies

Whitehat Virtual Technologies homepage, November 2026

HQ: Austin, TX

Switching providers is the part most owners dread, and Whitehat Virtual Technologies addresses it head on. It advertises a Contract Buyout Program and 48-hour onboarding for companies leaving another provider, plus a 60-day money-back guarantee that reads: "If you don't see measurable improvement, you pay nothing."

The company is headquartered at the Capital View Center on South Capital of Texas Highway. Support runs 24/7, and the firm publishes its speed: a 7-minute average human response in its FAQ, and a 29-minute response with a 35-minute average resolution on its managed IT page. It also lists a specialty in Citrix and VMware projects, management and rescue. On the security side it lists support for frameworks including CMMC 2.0, NIST, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS. Pricing is a custom quote based on how complex your environment is and the service level you need.

Best fit: A 25-plus person company that is stuck in a contract with a provider it wants to leave, or that runs Citrix or VMware.

Think twice if: Your team is under 25 people or you are shopping on price alone; Whitehat's FAQ says those buyers are typically not a fit.

4. TechProComp

TechProComp homepage, November 2026

Founded: 2017 | HQ: Austin, TX | Team: 11 to 50

Contract terms are where TechProComp competes. Its "0-0-0" offer promises zero onboarding fees, month-to-month terms and zero cancellation penalty, and pricing is a flat monthly fee with unlimited help desk and no per-ticket billing. The fee depends on employee count, endpoints, infrastructure complexity and compliance needs.

The month-to-month contract sits alongside a longer view: engagements use a three-year technology roadmap the company sums up as "one plan, twelve quarters, three years". Founder and CEO Slobodan Krsmanovic is described as personally involved in client relationships and technical delivery, which is a useful promise to test on a first call. The company was founded in 2017, is headquartered on Chevy Chase Drive in Austin, and also lists offices in Houston and San Antonio. IT support is 24/7. On response speed, the homepage advertises a 60-second response time and a 3-hour on-site response guarantee.

Best fit: An owner who wants to try a provider without signing a long contract, and wants a founder who is personally involved in client relationships.

Think twice if: You are a one to five person office that only needs occasional break-fix help; TechProComp's homepage says that is outside its target market.

5. GCS Technologies

GCS Technologies homepage, November 2026

Team: 45 staff, over 35 technical

GCS Technologies says it specializes in cloud and datacenter technologies. By its own count it services an average of 50,000 tickets a year and keeps 94% of its customers. Its Austin office is on Research Boulevard, and the team is 45 people, more than 35 of them technical.

GCS offers two pricing models. You can buy support by consumption at a fixed hourly rate, or take its CompleteCloud plan for a fixed monthly fee, and neither requires a long-term contract. GCS publishes response goals instead of leaving them vague: immediate response to emergencies, a technician response within 30 minutes on 90% of requests and a response within one hour on all of them. Its client list spans retail, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, legal and professional sports, and it works with larger businesses that keep their own IT staff as well as smaller ones.

Best fit: A company that runs its own servers or cloud infrastructure, given GCS's stated cloud and datacenter specialty, or a larger business with its own IT team, which GCS lists among the organizations it serves.

Think twice if: You need round-the-clock coverage as standard; GCS's support FAQ says 24/7 support requires an additional agreement and fee.

6. 7tech

7tech homepage, November 2026

Founded: 2012 | HQ: San Antonio, TX | Team: Over 30 full-time, US-based

7tech began in March 2012 as Juern Technology, which founder Neal Juern describes as a "one-man shop in San Antonio", and took the 7tech name in July 2023. It is still headquartered in San Antonio and runs an Austin office on North MoPac Expressway. The team is more than 30 full-time, US-based staff.

Security is the thread through its offer. 7tech runs a private security operations center (SOC) in San Antonio staffed by its own employees, and it has been a ThreatLocker Gold Partner since 2020. Plans are tiered by hours: Total IT Essentials covers business hours, while Total IT Unlimited and Security+ run 24/7. It reports a 20-minute average human response, average resolution under three hours and 80% of tickets resolved the same day. Every agreement carries a 60-day money-back guarantee, with third-party fees excluded from refunds. Its stated sweet spot is 25 to 600 workstations in construction, manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, nonprofits and government contracting.

Best fit: A regulated or security-conscious company between 25 and 600 workstations that wants a provider with its own SOC.

Think twice if: You have fewer than 25 workstations; 7tech's pricing page sets that as the minimum and points smaller organizations elsewhere.

7. Centre Technologies

Centre Technologies homepage, November 2026

Founded: 2006 | HQ: Houston, TX | Team: 150+

Centre Technologies reports a team of 150+. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Houston, it has an Austin office; one of its staff profiles describes a consultant working out of it.

Centre sells both fully managed and co-managed support at fixed cost, quoted by proposal. The managed package includes unlimited employee support, while co-managed support is set up to work with your internal IT staff. If you already employ an IT manager, the co-managed option is built to support that person. Proposals are fixed-cost, so ask for the managed and co-managed versions side by side. Technical support and network monitoring run 24x7. Its managed services sit on a named technology stack it calls C-Stack, and its security compliance offering includes a local SOC to help with vulnerability remediation.

Best fit: A larger Austin company, or one with in-house IT, that wants a 150-plus person provider with a co-managed option.

Think twice if: Local presence matters most to you; Centre's headquarters is in Houston, so ask how many of the people on your account work from the Austin office.

8. CyberStreams

CyberStreams homepage, November 2026

Founded: 1999 | HQ: Seattle, WA

CyberStreams started in 1999 making web-based video training for Microsoft, then moved into low-voltage cabling and managed IT. It is headquartered in Seattle and lists an Austin location for local IT support in the city.

Its guarantees are concrete. CyberStreams promises to pick up the phone within 90 seconds, with a $100 reduction on your bill if it does not, and advertises a 90-day money-back guarantee on services paid for. It also offers compliance support. It supports Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) assessment, implementation and preparation, helps with third-party audits against National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines, and describes itself as Impact Washington's preferred CMMC compliance vendor. That makes it worth a call for Austin defense contractors and their suppliers.

Best fit: A defense supplier or government contractor in Austin working toward CMMC.

Think twice if: You need someone on the line instantly at night; CyberStreams' published after-hours support uses phone dispatch with an expected one-hour emergency callback.

How to choose a managed IT provider in Austin

Start with the pricing model, because these eight firms use at least three. Integritek bills a fixed monthly fee per seat on annual agreements. TechProComp charges a flat monthly fee, and Contigo describes typically all-inclusive monthly pricing, both set by company size and support needs. GCS lets you pay hourly or monthly. Ask each provider to price the same scenario, your current headcount plus 20%, so the quotes are comparable.

Next, pin down what "24/7" means. On this list it ranges from round-the-clock coverage for every request, to 24/7 for urgent issues only, to 24/7 as a paid add-on, to after-hours phone dispatch with a callback. If your team works evenings or you run anything that cannot go down overnight, get the after-hours process in writing.

Read response promises carefully. A response time is not a resolution time, and an average is not a guarantee. Several firms here publish averages; GCS and TechProComp state goals or guarantees. Ask which numbers sit in the service level agreement (SLA) you will sign and what happens when they are missed.

Then look at the exit. Contract terms vary widely: month-to-month at TechProComp, no long-term contracts at GCS, annual agreements at Integritek with penalty-free cancellation in the first 90 days on eligible plans, and money-back guarantees of 60 or 90 days at Whitehat, 7tech and CyberStreams. If you are leaving a current provider, ask about onboarding time and whether they help with buyout costs, as Whitehat advertises.

Questions worth asking on the first call:

  • Who exactly will work on our account, and where are they based?
  • What is in the monthly fee, and what gets billed as a project?
  • Which response and resolution times are written into the contract?
  • How do after-hours requests reach a person, and how fast?
  • Which compliance frameworks have you supported for companies like ours?
  • What does leaving cost us, and how do you hand over our systems if we do?

TechProComp sets a flat monthly fee, and Contigo Technology describes typically all-inclusive monthly pricing based on company size, user count and support needs. GCS Technologies lets you pay a fixed hourly rate or a fixed monthly fee. Ask each provider to price the same headcount so the quotes compare.

Do Austin managed IT providers offer 24/7 support?

Some do, but the term means different things. Whitehat Virtual Technologies and TechProComp list 24/7 support, and Centre Technologies lists 24x7 support and monitoring. Integritek covers urgent issues 24/7/365 and routine requests in business hours. GCS Technologies offers 24/7 support only under an additional agreement. Ask how an after-hours request reaches a person and how fast.

Can I leave a managed IT contract if the provider is not working out?

It depends on the provider. TechProComp works month to month with no cancellation penalty, and GCS Technologies does not require long-term contracts. Integritek lets you cancel eligible annual agreements within the first 90 days. Whitehat Virtual Technologies and 7tech offer 60-day money-back guarantees, and CyberStreams offers 90 days. Read the exit terms before you sign.

Should I choose an Austin-headquartered provider or a larger firm with an Austin office?

Contigo Technology, Integritek, Whitehat Virtual Technologies and TechProComp are headquartered in Austin. 7tech, Centre Technologies and CyberStreams are based in San Antonio, Houston and Seattle and have an Austin presence. A larger firm can bring a security operations center or a co-managed option. Whichever you pick, ask who will work on your account and where they sit.
